2015 was the year of survival. It had so many highs and some pretty major lows but we survived and now I'm back! I want 2016 to be about thriving. But it feels weird to not catch you up on the time in between. SO I figured I'd share some of my highlights from 2015.
Let's just get this one out of the way...
Just a year ago we lost our house to a fire. What a way to start the year, right? If you're reading this, there is a good chance that you already knew this and maybe even helped us during this time. If that's the case, let me take a moment to thank you and tell you that you will probably never understand just what a difference you made in our lives. I've never felt so loved in my entire life and I thank you so much for being a part of that.
Ok, I have to move on because now I'm crying.
ON TO THE GOOD STUFF!
I traveled to San Diego and presented my research at one of my favorite meetings!
I graduated with my MS and am officially a Master of Science (weird).
And I got to go back to Belize last summer as a TA. I'll never get over that place. It's probably my favorite place in the world (so far).
We stayed on Tobacco Caye this year and we had an amazing group! I made another video from this trip.
I photographed a totally beautiful wedding!
It was such a fun group and everyone was so kind to me! If you've ever photographed a wedding before you know how noteworthy it is when people are nice to you! lol Plus, these two are just so beautiful inside and out.
In 2015 we traveled to zoos, paddled in oceans and rivers, camped like crazy, and Keaton and I even got to take a trip to Savannah for our anniversary!
Keaton and I are both graduated (#PTL) and we're both working multiple jobs! We are both teaching at Kennesaw State, Keaton is playing drums for our church and tutoring. I'm working part-time for The Nature Conservancy of Georgia (which is probably my most favorite job I've ever had!).
We're totally kicking butt and loving life. Thanks for being here and reading this and I hope you'll stick around this year for more adventures!
2016 is going to be epic, I can feel it! ;)
