Little St. Simons Island

Keaton and I got the chance to visit Little St. Simons Island for our 3rd anniversary (3 YEARS???). It was so quaint and lovely. We rode bikes all over the island and had lots of adventures. This summer has been one to remember and it's not over yet!

This path went to a massive rookery and we got to see some baby Anhingas that were about ready to fledge!

We found quite a few of these guys during low tide.  It's a Cannonball Jellyfish (Stomolophus meleagris) and they're actually very pretty in the water!

The Horseshoe crabs were mating as well so these guys were all over the shoreline! The males hold onto the female so when she lays her eggs he's there to fertilize them. Keaton and I spent lots of time rescuing stranded horseshoe crabs!

I've never spent so much of my summer at the ocean. It's definitely where I'm supposed to be!
